Hard to believe it’s been seven years already since my solo exhibition for YONKEROS at Ryugaheon Gallery in Seoul, curated by Joanne Junga Yang.
The thing about that show which moved me the most was the contrast between the pristine, zen-like gallery and the rough and tumble world of Willets Point depicted in my photographs. Also, the gallery is located a stone’s throw away from the old Imperial Palace and it gave me a sense of leaving a footprint and being a part of the life of a city I absolutely cherish.
